Mike Elmore leads the Global Enterprise Network Engineering organization at Cigna – a Global Health Insurance and Health Services Company. In this capacity, he is accountable for all data networking, voice/unified communications, video, contact center, and instrumentation supporting 35,000+ employee’s operating in 30 countries, with $32B+ in revenue.
With over 14 years of experience in telecommunications architecture, engineering and operations, Mike has driven insourcing and outsourcing initiatives, managed large enterprise data and voice networks, contact center technologies and network security infrastructures. He has developed and led numerous large strategic initiatives, as a dynamic leader with a proven track record building and managing effective organizations, leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to drive quality up and cost down in large enterprises.
Prior to Cigna, Mike worked as a Solution Architect for Cisco, where he supported a large Fortune 10 financial institution and led the technical sales strategy across multiple technology domains.
In 2003, Mike joined United Health Care Group (a Fortune 25 Health Insurance Company), where he architected the next generation data network and led the Global Network Design and Planning team. He executed a three year strategic roadmap for network services yielding $100M in annual run rate savings, leveraging elastic IP technologies, convergence and insourced the engineering and operations components. Mike also built an offshore capability, driving operational efficiencies for the network support organization.
