The Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) market was defined by ONUG in 2013 and has emerged as the hottest software-defined networking market thanks to its ability to lower cost, shift control of network state and resources to IT business leaders, and deliver multiple WAN transport options and agility to provide secure connectivity for hybrid clouds. During 2016, the SD-WAN group began a new phase to explore additional use cases that resulted in the need for an Open SD-WAN Exchange (OSE). In this session, members of the initiative provide an OSE update and chart its course of development.
