Mike Elmore, IT Senior Director, Enterprise Network Engineering at Cigna
IT Infrastructure organizations are increasingly under pressure to do more with less by reducing direct and indirect expenses, while contributing to the overall profitability of the Enterprise by rapidly enabling new services and applications for the business. Today’s wide-area-network models are stale, expensive and progressively growing beyond carrier capacity thresholds. For many organizations, these telecommunication and traditional CPE costs can represent over 40% of the Network Services annual budget, not to mention the control and flexibility IT organizations must concede as part of consuming these legacy connectivity services. More stringent security controls and policy models for internal, b2b and customer facing applications complicate these efforts to simplify the wide-area architecture.
Mike leads the Enterprise Network Engineering organization at Cigna and will share his team’s vision and strategy to address these challenges and drive a more efficient and effective connectivity model for Cigna’s businesses, partners and customers.
