Representatives from Ansible, Bank of America, Cisco, Credit Suisse, Facebook, Nuage Networks, Silver Lake, and vArmour Participate in ONUG Spring’s Great Debate and Town Hall Meeting
April 16, 2015 – Boston – The Open Networking User Group (ONUG) today announced speakers and topics for its popular Great Debate and Town Hall Meeting, scheduled to take place at the upcoming ONUG Spring 2015 conference at Columbia University, May 12-14 in New York.
Ernest Lefner, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman at ONUG, will moderate this spring’s ONUG Great Debate, which will take place on the afternoon of May 13. The topic of the debate will focus on whether open source initiatives are delivering on their promises or if closed source, with its proven service and support, is still leading the way. Taking the pro-closed stance is Charles Giancarlo, Technology Entrepreneur and Advisor at Silver Lake Partners, while Lew Tucker, Open Stack board member and Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Cloud Computing at Cisco Systems, will represent the pro-open position.
The Town Hall Meeting will take place on May 14, with Graeme Hay, a networking industry veteran and former Chief Architect and CTO of Infrastructure at Credit Suisse, moderating the panel, which includes:
This panel will provide a forum for open and frank discussion between IT business and industry leaders as they explore issues associated with operationalizing open infrastructure technologies, and whether DevOps has a role in enterprise networking.
