Chief Technology Officer GE Digital
Chris Drumgoole is GE’s Chief Technology Officer. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer – IT at GE. In his current role, he leads the company’s IT Infrastructure teams globally, responsible for the successful operation of the IT systems supporting all of GE’s business units around the world. Additionally he leads GE’s enterprise and industrial cloud strategy, including the company’s provider and application transition to the cloud as well as the company’s infrastructure supporting the Industrial Internet and Internet of Things.
Chris has a proven reputation for transforming enterprise IT infrastructure, operating models and services delivery frameworks.
He joined GE from Verizon Terremark, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Operations with responsibilities including data center commissioning and operations, service delivery, product development, as well as cloud computing operations across the enterprise. He also has over 15 years of technology and financial services experience, including design and architecture work for large retail trading platforms, high-traffic consumer Web properties, and computing/storage grids, having held leadership and technologist positions with the Toronto Dominion Bank, IBM, MasterCard International, Cable & Wireless, and Exodus/Savvis. Chris studied Information Systems at Pace University in New York. He and his family currently reside in Connecticut.
